Licensing Information

Understanding Our Font Licenses

At Vignette Studio, we provide flexible font licensing options to meet a wide range of needs. Whether you’re designing for print, web, apps, or broadcasting, our licenses are designed to offer clarity and compliance. Below is an overview of our license types and their primary use cases. For detailed legal terms, please refer to the License Agreement.

Desktop License

A Desktop License allows fonts to be installed on computers for use in designing static content. It is ideal
for creating:

  • Print materials, such as books, brochures, and flyers.
  • Logos and branding assets.
  • PDFs and other static digital content.
  • Social media posts and videos.

Fonts can be installed on multiple devices by licensed users. Embedding in apps or websites is not permitted under this license.

Web License

A Web License covers the use of fonts on websites via CSS embedding. This license is perfect for:

  • Web design and development.
  • Dynamic content displayed online.

The license is based on the number of monthly page views or unique users. Fonts must not be directly accessible for download by unauthorized parties.

App License

The App License allows fonts to be embedded in software or mobile applications. It’s suitable for:

  • Mobile apps on iOS and Android.
  • Desktop software applications.

This license is based on the number of downloads or active users and ensures fonts are used securely within app environments.

Broadcasting License

The Broadcasting License is tailored for using fonts in video and film content. This license applies to:

  • TV and streaming content.
  • Film productions.
  • Video ads and promotional content.

Fees are based on production budgets and audience reach.

Key Features of Our Licensing

  • Perpetual Use: All licenses are perpetual, meaning you can continue using the fonts without renewal fees.
  • Global Reach: Our licenses are valid worldwide, with no geographic restrictions.
  • Flexible Upgrades: If your usage grows beyond the initial terms (e.g., more users or higher traffic), you can easily upgrade your license.

Usage Rights and Restrictions

Purchasing a font license grants you the right to use the fonts as specified. It does not grant ownership of the fonts themselves. Unauthorized use, modification, or redistribution of the fonts is prohibited and may result in license termination or legal action. All fonts remain the intellectual property of Vignette Studio.
